About the Artist

Thomas Rogers
Inspired at the age of thirteen, I became a lifelong practicing artist after completing my first painting as a seventh-grade art assignment. Painting has remained a constant presence throughout my life, even as I pursued a career in management consulting, where I worked with executive leadership teams to shape strategy and organizational growth. Several of my clients employed accomplished artists, and conversations with them offered valuable insight into their creative processes—perspectives that continue to inform my own artistic practice.
I am now a professional landscape artist, fortunate to divide my time among three states that provide continual inspiration through spectacular ocean and lake vistas, as well as dramatic forest and mountain landscapes.
I have studied with Ian Roberts and received private instruction from noted artists John MacDonald, Dennis Sheehan, Joseph Sweeney, Laurie Snow Hein, and Robert Simone. My work has been juried into both international and regional exhibitions, where it has received awards including ribbons and Best of Show honors. I hold BA and MA degrees in liberal arts and am a member of several professional organizations, including the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia Sketch Club, American Society of Marine Artists, Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, Brandywine Conservancy and Museum of Art, and the National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society.
